Play Ball: Ballin 4 Peace Hosts First Annual Celebrity Charity Softball Game Versus The NYPD At Elston Howard Field
It’s time to play ball!
On Saturday, July 31st from 2-6pm, Ballin 4 Peace will be hosting its first ever Celebrity Charity Softball Game between the Ballin 4 Peace All-Stars and the NYPD’s Finest at Macombs Dam Park and Elston Howard Field across from the new Yankee Stadium.
The game will also include customized softball jerseys from apparel brand sponsor, Wooter Apparel, in addition to other sponsor partnerships that will be announced in the coming weeks.
“We can’t wait to get this game under way at Elston Howard Field between our Ballin 4 Peace All-Stars and members of the NYPD,” said Ballin 4 Peace Founder, Haron Hargrave.
“Not only is this game the chance for us to kick-off our annual Celebrity Charity sports events ranging from Basketball, Flag Football, and our holiday Bowling tournament, but it’s the opportunity to shed a positive light on spreading peace through sports as things open back up after the Coronavirus pandemic. We also want to thank the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation in the Bronx for their support in helping us host what should be an unforgettable game and afternoon of giving back.”
Tickets for fans of the Ballin 4 Peace Celebrity Charity Softball game can be purchased here via the Eventbrite website. Rosters will also be announced within the next two weeks.
Along with our work with the NYPD, the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, and Wooter Apparel, Ballin 4 Peace is also currently in talks with both local and national organizations that promote youth development and growth in baseball and softball in underdeveloped areas of New York City and the world. Both participants in the Celebrity Charity Softball game and fans who attend the game are encouraged to bring new or used baseball and softball bats, gloves, helmets and other equipment to be donated to a youth sports charity in need on the behalf of Ballin 4 Peace.
