It was 2019 and the versatile point guard was in his third month with the Los Angeles Lakers after signing a 10-day contract fresh off of earning G-League Player of the Week honors with South Bay, where Machado had averaged an impressive 25 points, 14.7 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game during a three-game win streak.
