Community Turns Out To Support 7th Annual Ballin' 4 Peace Celebrity Charity Basketball Game
For the seventh year, Ballin' 4 Peace organized and led a full-day of basketball activities ranging from a Youth Game, Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest and Charity Game which took place this year at Lehman College in the Bronx.
It was all in an effort to once again spread peace through sports and raise awareness about the community outreach and work being done throughout New York City by Ballin' 4 Peace.
Not only was the action on the court enough to turn heads, but so was the crowd of fans who attended the event including actor and comedian, Whoopi Goldberg, who joined with everyone in the gym in applauding another impressive Ballin' 4 Peace event sponsored by Wilson Basketball, the New York Knicks, and Wooter Apparel.
"We can't thank all of our sponsors, vendors, the players, and people who all came out to support our mission," said Ballin' 4 Peace Founder, Haron Hargrave.
"It's because of people in the community that we are able to keep giving back. We also want to give a shout out to Perry Sook and Joe Mauceri of PIX 11 News for featuring the event on SportsNation Nightly. I always appreciate the chance to share our story and spread the word about the positive impact we are making in communities across New York City. We can't wait to do it again next year."
In addition to looking back on the 7th Annual Celebrity Charity Basketball Game (that included the game-winning bucket by Haron Hargrave), we are also excited to announce the return of the 2nd Annual Celebrity Charity Softball Game, taking place on Sunday, July 31 at Elston Howard Field across from Yankee Stadium, as the Ballin' 4 Peace All-Stars take on members of the NYPD.
