Ballin' 4 Peace Runs It Back For 8th Annual Celebrity Charity Basketball Game

Last year, Ballin' 4 Peace held the 7th Annual Charity Basketball Game at Lehman College in the Bronx with a full-day of activities and events ranging from a Youth Game, Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest and Charity Game.  

The fans in attendance included actor and comedian, Whoopi Goldberg, who joined with everyone in the gym in applauding another impressive Ballin' 4 Peace event sponsored by the New York Knicks, Wilson Basketball, and Wooter Apparel. It was all in an effort to once again spread peace through sports and raise awareness about the community outreach and work being done throughout New York City by Ballin' 4 Peace. 

This year, Ballin' 4 Peace is ready to run it back with the 8th Annual Celebrity Charity Basketball Game held on Saturday, June 15 at The Doghouse at Haaren Hall at John Jay College from 3:30 - 8:30 pm. 

"It's hard to believe it is that time of the year again. Each time Ballin' 4 Peace hosts this annual event, it gets bigger and better because of the people and players who participate in giving back to the local community like this," said Haron Hargrave, Ballin' 4 Peace Founder. 

"Thank you to everyone at John Jay College for letting us hit the court for the 8th Annual Charity Basketball Game. I can't wait to tip-off!"

The full schedule starts with the NYC Elite 32 All-Star Game (3:00-4:30 pm) featuring some of the standout high school basketball players from across the city; the Celebrity 3-Point Shootout (4:30 - 5:00 pm); the Real Fans Real Talk Slam Dunk Contest (5:30-6:30 pm); and concludes with the Ballin' 4 Peace Celebrity Charity Basketball Game (6:30-8:30 pm).

Rosters and full sponsors will be announced as the event draws near, but tickets are on sale now via Ballin' 4 Peace's Eventbrite page. Proceeds from the 8th Annul Celebrity Charity Basketball Game goes to support current and future community-wide programs and annual events. As a 501(c3) organization, Ballin' 4 Peace remains committed to a mission of promoting peace through sports thanks to your donations and generosity.
