Ballin' 4 Peace Partners With Housing Works Youth & Prevention Services To Host "Men's Health Awareness Day"

(Brooklyn, New York - October 2020) --  For neighbors and communities throughout New York City, now is the perfect time to stay informed, educated, and aware when it comes to health, safety, and protection.

Join Ballin’ 4 Peace as we partner with Housing Works Youth and Prevention Services (HWYPS) to present “Men’s Health Awareness Day” on Saturday, October 17th (11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) at Kings Manor Museum (150-03 Jamaica Avenue, Jamaica, New York 11432). Along with offering a day of live music, delicious food, and drinks, HWYPS staff members will be on-hand giving out free facemasks, hand sanitizer, totes, earpods, fanny packs, collector cups, personal protection (condoms/lubricant), COVID-19 testing, and information on local clinics and housing. In addition, Insti HIV/Hep C/STI testing will be available on-site and self HIV test kits are available to take home. Cultural Collaborative Jamaica will also be part of the event and will present workout sessions conducted by Jamaica Fit.

For this “Men’s Health Awareness Day”, the focus truly is centered on educating and informing neighbors and communities throughout Jamaica, Queens, and New York on the importance of staying safe and protected during these times of COVID-19. In the end, the slogan for the event really says it all: “It’s OK To Be Aware”. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Housing Works Youth and Prevention Services provides New York City youth with supportive services including access to healthcare, HIV testing, housing, and more services. Tune in for their Clubhouse Programming on IG @HWYPS LIVE, which takes place Monday through Thursday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. To learn more about Housing Works Youth and Prevention Services, connect with HWYPS on social media channels on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook
