BALLIN’ 4 PEACE HOSTS “CELEBRATING OUR WINS” WOMEN’S PANEL DISCUSSION TO HONOR WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
(Queens, New York -- March 15, 2021) To honor the month of March as Women’s History Month, Ballin’ 4 Peace is hosting its first ever all-women’s panel titled, “Celebrating Our Wins” on Thursday, March 18th at 5:00 pm (EST) streaming live on StreamYard, which will broadcast to Ballin’ 4 Peace's YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages.
“We dedicate this month to remind ourselves of the various accomplishments of women throughout the years to our culture, society, and communities. Regardless if they are involved in non-profit organizations, are entrepreneurs, or prominent in their field, this is our chance to reflect on celebrating the victories along the way,” said Ballin’ 4 Peace Founder, Haron Hargrave.
“We truly hope this star-studded panel can share valuable views and insights that can be used as a positive influence on young girls and women in our communities today.”
Digital Media host and journalist, Marie David, leads an impressive panel and opens up the discussion on “Celebrating Our Wins” with influential leaders and outstanding professionals in their field including Rhonda Binda (Deputy Queens Borough President), Vanessa Contreras (Entrepreneur), Brandi McAlister (Certified Spiritual Coach and Certified Life Coach), and Jackie Braden (VP of NationMac Mortgage).
Marie David is the CEO and founder of women empowerment brand “A Lady Who Knows”, which she launched in 2013 and currently serves as a Digital Producer for The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Middays with Shaila’, and ’Déjà Vu In The Afternoons’ for New York’s 107.5 WBLS and HOT 97. She is also the social media manager for The Wendy Williams Show and has previously worked as an online reporter in front of the camera and behind the scenes at WBLS and HOT 97.
Marie David is joined by panelist Rhonda Binda, who serves as Deputy Queens Borough President. A native of Southeast Queens, Rhonda is a visionary with a passion for social and environmental justice and is an internationally recognized People’s Choice leader in building smart cities and connected communities. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Medgar Evers College at the City University of New York and served on both the 21 Century Government and Foreign Policy teams for the Biden-Harris 2020 Presidential campaign.
Vanessa Contreras is an entrepreneur, social media strategist, beauty mentor and on-air talent, who is driven to motivate others to maximize their passion. Her brand “So Necessary” started as a fashion and beauty blog in 2014. Today, Vanessa develops over 100 beauty entrepreneurs online as “So Necessary'' serves as a branding and social media strategy team. Thanks to her rich marketing and sales experience, Vanessa has created a platform where she expresses her love for fashion and empowering women to feel fulfilled and confident In their own skin.
Jackie Braden is Vice President of NationMac Mortgage, is a Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer, is the CEO and designer of Jah Jewelry, and is a published author. In addition, Jackie possesses a Master’s Degree in Human Services and Counseling Executive Leadership and is a proud mother to two young boys.
Brandi McAlister rounds out the “Celebrating Our Wins” panel presented by Ballin’ 4 Peace, as she brings a passion for encouraging and helping others as a Certified Spiritual Coach and Certified Life Coach. A native of New Jersey, Brandi earned degrees and certification from Virginia State University, Manhattanville College, and Life Purpose Institute. Brandi is an award-winning author of the Devotional of the Year titled Real Talk: A Conversation From My Heart To Yours and Amazon’s #1 New Release for the title, My Way or God’s Will?
