1 V 1 WITH BALLIN’ 4 PEACE: CAPPIE PONDEXTER
It’s been a little over a year since Cappie Pondexter announced her retirement after spending 13-years playing in the WNBA; a legendary career that saw a girl from the west side of Chicago blossom into a two-time champion, Finals MVP, Olympic gold medalist, 7-time all-star, and simply one of the greatest WNBA players of all-time.
1 V 1 WITH BALLIN' 4 PEACE: SCOTT MACHADO
It’s safe to say that Scott Machado will never forget celebrating his 29th birthday and where he spent it. It was 2019 and the versatile point guard was in his third month with the Los Angeles Lakers after signing a 10-day contract fresh off of earning G-League Player of the Week honors with South Bay, where Machado had averaged an impressive 25 points, 14.7 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game during a three-game win streak.
SUPPORT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
With senseless crime and violence plaguing our communities, founder Haron Hargrave and the team at Ballin4Peace wanted to do something different. The team of passionate urban professionals wanted to deliver an outlet to inner-city youth where they can interface with their favorite celebrities as their promote peace through sports.
